Quick and easy access to u.s. markets

Only Minutes from U.S. Commercial Port of Entry

Located just minutes south of San Diego County, selecting Tecate as their next facility site put them within minutes of the Otay Mesa commercial border crossing. Proximity to headquarters in Torrance, CA and to major US customers, are the features of the region for the specialized connector manufacturer. Conesys now adds its name to the northern border region’s roster of 60+ aerospace and defense companies, which includes global leaders such as Eaton Aerospace, CUBIC and Lockheed Martin.

One of the main features that influenced our selection of Tecate for the new facility was its proximity and ease of the closest US border crossing.

Co-Production International Assists with Hiring and Labor Laws

Conesys used CPI to recruit and hire personnel according to Mexican labor laws. In the aerospace and defense industries it is vital to have a highly competent and technically trained personnel for both assembly and manufacture of parts and components destined for the United States. Baja California’s highly skilled workforce and more than 50,000 students enrolled in University or technical schools, it becomes a question of the cost-effective processes for recruitment and hiring.

Not being familiar with Mexican labor laws was an obstacle. CPI was very helpful with hiring a workforce effectively and was equally as good with the legal forms that need to be filed to comply with Mexican Law.
