NAFTA renegotiations

LIVE in San Diego and available via Zoom to anyone, anywhere. The event for Zoom starts at 4:30pm Pacific Time (US).

Since the inception of NAFTA on Jan 1, 1994, for the first time there is a serious discussion about the U.S.’s terms within the agreement. As the future of NAFTA is renegotiated and its historical impact debated, we will discuss the practical considerations for a business today that is active in importing/exporting within North America.

What can and should a business be planning and doing now? Where are the opportunities and risks for businesses now, given the tenor of the renegotiations and the realities of a major trade agreement that is now in its 23rd year?

We have three excellent speakers who will navigate NAFTA for executives.

  1. Jorge Arroyo, Chief Operating Officer, Spark Compass
  2. Enrique Esparza, President, Co-Production International
  3. Chris Antonelli, District Manager (Western US), Purolator International

Moderated by Kuntal Warwick, Global Chamber San Diego.

We will have one hour of networking, followed by a panel and roundtable discussion. Thanks to our co-hosts collaborators MAPLE® Business Council and ProMéxico.

3:30 - 4:30pm (Pacific Time): Networking/Connecting locally

4:30 - 5:45pm (Pacific Time): Discussion on NAFTA with the Experts, with Q&A

5:45 - 6:00pm (Paciific Time): Conclusions and Wrap-up

Past Attendee from a Furniture Manufacturing Company based in LA

We have been seriously considering moving our plant to Tijuana. CPI was extremely helpful in providing upper management with the right tools. The trip to Tijuana included visiting 3 different manufacturing companies and we were deeply surprised to discover how well these plants were run.

The welcome we received from the staff who took care of showing us around their plant was outstanding. The entire experience with CPI was extremely valuable. Our company will be happy to strongly recommend CPI as a dedicated partner in the process of evaluating a manufacturing expansion to Tijuana.
